What is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)?

From 18 November 2025, Companies House will require that all directors, persons with significant control (PSCs), and company incorporators verify their identity before filing or maintaining company information.
Only Authorised Corporate Service Providers (ACSPs), such as regulated solicitors, can complete this verification on behalf of clients.
Once verified, each individual will receive a Companies House Personal Code – a unique identifier linking their verified identity to any roles they hold (director, PSC, or incorporator)..

When the Rules Take Effect

The new Companies House verification rules come into force on 18 November 2025.
From that date, every PSC will have 14 days to provide their personal code to Companies House.
The timing of this 14-day window depends on whether the individual:
was already registered before 18 November 2025; and
also serves as a director of the company.
Directors will need to provide their personal code in their next confirmation statement filed after that date.
New directors appointed after 18 November 2025 must provide their code at the time of appointment or company incorporation.
